Paul's Explanation

I just received the following from Paul:

So, since I started with Western, I’ve only sold shares for one reason and this to pay for the purchase and taxes associated with options or DSU’s. This is what I recently did.

As is publicly disclosed I sold 125,000 shares. As is also publicly disclosed, 1 day later I exercised 200,000 options - the net result is that my shareholding in WRN increased by 75,000 shares! The amount of shares sold is essentially equal to what I needed to pay for the options and tax.

I learned how to invest from our ex Chairman, Dale Corman. His philosophy on mining juniors was hold until they have achieved what made you invest in the first place. For Western this is a takeout by a major.

I’m still holding.

Paul

The Deferred Stock Units explanation seems reasonable to me. The words that calm me down most are "take out by a major". Let's see how this plays out from here.

Apologies. I meant to say "for payment of options and taxes".

Thanks for sharing EvenSteven27 I will play devil's advocate here, looking from the perspective of a long-term loyal shareholder. This is my take: Paul's current stance is a refreshing change compared to previous narratives that focused primarily on taxes. However, much like a magician's illusion, there is more complexity beneath the surface. While he gives the impression of ...more

Paul and management in other words are riding the gravy train.  Why would you want it to stop.

Corruption. What they did just raise money and drill. And then get options and free shares. If you are incompetent.  We only should be paid by salary.  Grant unaffordable Options is a stupid corruption, they need dump shares to get free shares. Incompetent >>corruption >>stupid management and BoDs.

They got new house and more free shares, what investor got, wasted decades and dead money, shame on their explanation.  Wasted decades to get free shares.

How long has Singh been onboard? Are we going to give him a chance to do what he does or are we just constantly going to bomb this board with negativity towards Paul and his actions. Paul is NOT the whole company. Take a deep breath and repeat "I invested in a junior miner....."
Comment by pavcio on Jun 02, 2024 11:09pm
It's somewhat laughable Asdfghjk to ask how long Singh has been with us and then suggest that by addressing Paul’s actions, we’re not giving Singh a fair chance. The irony here is that by raising concerns about Paul’s inflated sense of self-importance, abilities, and expectation of favorable treatment, we’re actually trying to ensure that Singh and others won’t receive special treatment or ...more

The point is that Paul isn't going to be the driver of this thing anymore. But please continue to whine and complain. IDGAF.

Just out of curiousity how much has you changed personally with all this griping? I would wager nothing whatsoever but maybe I am wrong.
