YESAB website

I encourage all to visit YESAB's Casino page, and read the letter from Casino detailing reasons for prolonging submission. I won't put into print here the real problem here, but it's continuously glossed over or outright misrepresented by management.

Two main contributors.  First, Sandeep delayed any activity on that until he had a handle on what was being permitted.  That was by his own admission in the interview.  Second, the YESAB moved the goal posts (twice in this most recent process) on what the ESE submission requirements are.

Metal When you state, " the YESAB moved the goal posts (twice in this most recent process) on what the ESE submission requirements are" I have to go back to where the YESAB would like the company responsible for building the mine to submit the mine plan. This has WRN cought between a rock and a hard place. Sandeep will have to sell Casino without a mining perment. (after March ...more

Actually Marine, if we all step back for a second and think about it, Casino Mining will be the company who builds and operates the Casino Mine.  Now, the question is, who will own Casino Mining at the end of the day?  Will it be RIO, AEM, NEM or some other major? The holdup comes from the decision as to should WRN push through a mine plan for approval whilst they are still an ...more

Hi Heywood: I like your analysis of the situation.  My hope is that WRN and its current leadership with the support and expertise of Dale Corman will move forward with all plans because they have dedicated themselves to support the citizens in the Yukon Territory for the past almost 20 years.  I think they have a level of credibility and trust that any newcomer would not have. My two ...more

Heywood At this point I am wainting for (after March 2025, option deal with Rio to expire). Other interested parties may take a run at low priced WRN shares and give Rio a good challenge for Casino.  WRN / Casino has the makings of a long, long "much longer" term investment then most of us are willing to make,, for me it's over 18 yes ! Sundeep needs to double his ...more

Excellent suggestion. My reading of the 11-Aug-2024 letter from Casino to YESAB indicates much of the delay came from the panel receiving substantial comments from First Nations that caused the Panel to make revisions to the draft January 2023 Guidelines, that were much greater in scope than the minor clarifications the Panel had said would made in the Final Guidelines.

This man gets it.

While true, this is the YESAB moving the goal posts.  A second comment period was unprecedented and not required by YESAB guidelines at the time.  Of course none of this would have happened if we had just moved forward with the original submission plan to the requirements of the time about 4 or 5 years ago rather than pausing it at Paul's request.

Of course the goal posts are going to keep moving and it's quite logical...no one wants another Victoria incident! I wouldn't be surprised if casino gets fully permitted...but final approval to start construction only given after final sign off from Yukon govt AFTER they review the major or JV who develops and will be charged with operating the mine! actually that seems like a very ...more
