Next year ???

In WRN last PROJECT UPDATE, they stated,

“In the schedule, Casino indicates that it plans to submit the ESE Statement in or around July 2025, which is an update from the previously estimated submission date of the second half of 2024

I still believe the Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Board (“YESAB”) needs to have the ESE statement to be submitted by the company responsible for building the mine.  That will not be Western Copper,, after Rio’s option / Rights have expired there will be new players come forward next year.IMO

Adding @ $1.55 for next year !

In the past two interviews Sandeep has done he has been very clear with the fact that there is not a for sale sign on WRN. I doubt we will be sold before we are done with the Environmental assessment, so another approximate 3 years. The question is what catalyst we have along the way to help lift the share price...

It was last year I think, that Paul said there were 10-12 CA's that were made. This would imply other suitors, meaning it is for sale. No one said it was no longer for sale. Not that I ever heard anyway.  However your time line could be true. I  hope not. Probably the further out this gets pushed, the higher the prices for gold, copper, and moly.  It would be nice for this to ...more

To clarify Snadeeps exacts words are "we do not have a for sale sign for the company"; obviously not implying we wont sell if we get a good offer. But as I interpret it we are not actively pursuing a sale. Hopefully I am wrong about it; but just how I interpret the last two interviews I have seen with Sandeep in them. Obviously everyone can interpret what he says differently but if you ...more

I will try to see the 2 interviews. So if there is not a for sale sign on it, any miner knows that it is for sale. For sale sign or not. If we know, others do also. Paul was around the world pitching this mine. CA's are out there.  This is one acacdemic exercise. For sale with or without a sign.

I think what Sandeep is implying is that we are not desperate. We have a significant runway and we can wait.

Yeah....I wonder what Dale thinks now that we are nearing the 4 year anniversary of Rio buy in...

He's probably thinking the same thing that I am thinking:  what a strange dichotomy between the stock prices of the PM seniors and juniors and the underlying metlals. The share prices are in the dumps as if the average investor doesn't believe we are in the $2.5k and heading to $3k gold phase.  When the rudders fall off the good ship lollipop, we'll be the only thing left ...more

"...[A]pproximately 3 years from the start of permitting." Fixed.

As to a catalyst for raising the share price, as has been suggested on this app,  is to allow RIO and MM to buy as many shares as they want to. That also might put a fire under the butts of these CA's., for fear of missing out.

Agreed. They won't get control as HNW investors, management and funds hold too many shares along with some posters on this board. Would drive up SP. I wouldn't be surprised if Rio let the agreement lapse and then went into market and started buying.
