Pine

I've reflected. I will relent. It is childish. Sorry to
all on the board.  I'll keep my thoughts here on in to the constructive side.  Having said that, my heart is broken (as is my portfolio ) as it relates to western. Such a wonderful concept.  My broker spoke glowingly of its prospects when copper spiked in 2010 and 2011.  All the pumping by Dale and Chris and Paul and now the new guy. And here we are at basically a buck a share on the US side and a share count that has ballooned to the point where any buyout cannot possibly  be anywhere near what it could have been when the share count was 90 million.  Remember those days?  A billion dollar buyout would have been a ten bagger.  Now we need more than a two billion dollar buyout for that to occur .  And that's before a shovel hits the ground. What the heck happened over the last 15 years?  This money in the bank will slowly drip away as did all the other cash obtained in past share offerings. If you've been a long for at least 10 years like I have, ask yourself if it truly was worth it?  Seriously.  And before you come back with the normal refrain of "my entry point was peanuts" , really honestly ask yourself that question.

That is the most reasonable, intelligent thing I EVER heard you say! See, even YOU can articulate a meaningful post. I can not believe it. I think I need a shot of bourbon,  then I will read it again.

I appreciate your comments, however as far as the dilution goes it's the nature of these developers to raise cash the only way they can - dilution. The project has been advanced and that costs money. I'd like to think that the increased dilution has been offset by adding value to WRN and resultantly higher buyout. That's the theory anyway. We won't know the answer until payday and ...more

Reasonable post pine. Can't change the past.  Just lost my rose colour glasses a few years ago. Every time Paul sold shares I reflected on what the heck I was doing holding and holding and holding while he sold.

Me, too. If I went back in time, I still would have kept a stake in WRN, just not as big. I would have been happy with my Western Silver roll overs, .385 buy ins, and .58 buy ins. I probably would not have bought over $2. I would have bought Snowline at .98 when my gut told me so and ridden it to $5. But I chose to remain loyal to WRN. Still, I will hold as Casino will be a homerun when it goes to ...more

Should have read "no one will get it right 100% of the time". And thanks DB for coming clean. Forward march with a clean slate for ALL of us.
