Some alarming reports starting to surface from the nearby solution mines and potash community. Very little potash currently in the pond, Western Potash is forcasting a total 45,000 tons potash in pond by fall 2024. No crystallizer built into the production mill, relying on the -30 weather for crysatllization process in pond.  Production mill and load out not completed construction stage.  ...more

Not a very opptimistic picture Wiser. 45,000 tones might be about 0.5 meters in the pond. The product from the earlier mining might have been salt.Hardly enough to start production?? For 15 years i have recommended against conventional ponds since they are monsters to control. At 3.5m^3 per minute feed, it takes about 50 days for one turnover. There is no way to keep NaCL.2H2O from precipating in ...more
