Cannabis Act Legislation Review

The review panel is being selected and will make recommendations to government based on their assessment of feed back and data gathered through ongoing discussions with stake holders that began earlier this year.

With a surplus in Canada's budget, hopefully they'll be willing and able to make adjustments to the excise tax structure among other things.

Changes need to come sooner than later if they want the industry to survive, let alone thrive.

Good News...

cheers

This Review is already a year late and the committee mandate reads like a social reform agenda. It could take years before any recommendations are implemented. In the meantime the legal MJ industry in Canada will continue to die.

Anyone looking objectively at the MJ industry here would have to conclude that weed is still a "controlled substance" in Canada. One could also observe that the only foks making money from MJ is governments, the illicit market and corporate management. The folks who funded this liberal political experiment have loss their shirts.
