confused

I'm confused with this line from today's update: Discussions between the parties and others continue and the revised settlement agreement will be completed pending attainment of a new financing agreement. Why would the settlement be on hold until a new financing is completed? The only reasons I can think of are bad ones. A new financing would provide CAB with money, but why would CAB need money in order to complete the settlement? Shouldn't it be the other parties who will need money to pay CAB?

Tomdog,the only thing I can think of is that the group paying cab in the settlement are the ones who need some financing to pay the settlement? I'm probably wrong,but thought I would throw that out there..anyone else have any ideas? cougar

Tomdog, I was wondering about this as well then I came to the conclusion that perhaps CAB is allowing the parties to finance the settlement payback over a certain period of time instead of a one time payment. That is the only logical reason I could come up with..........unless they have just decided that they would like to release the settlement news to coincide with the news that they have a ...more
