Exeter was never going to be able to build the mine themselves. Very heavy Cap-ex.

I tend to agree with your opinion.  I've been waiting for quite sometime to see who eventually would anti up as feasability studies, and water rights,etc; etc; have cleared the way to development.   Exeter brought this project to that point.  Mine development  now requires some significant capital outlays to build the mill ( plant if you like ) and all the machinery

Goldcorp has acquired 25% of Cerro Casase (lower grade, by far less favourable strip ratio) for USD 260m plus other remuneration (see: https://www.goldcorp.com/English/Investor-Resources/News/News-Details/2017/Goldcorp-and-Barrick-to-consolidate-Cerro-Casale-and-Caspiche-gold-projects-in-a-5050-joint-venture/default.aspx). The acquisitoin of 100% of Caspiche (i.e. XRC) relates to roughly USD180m
