BCE on board ready to take off.....ya!

BCE signs sattelite use agreement with XS Technologies XS Technologies Inc XST Shares issued 15,142,233 Oct 4 close $0.51 Thu 5 Oct 2000 News Release See BCE Inc (BCE) News Release Ms. Marilyn Wright reports TMI Communications, a BCE subsidiary, has signed a three-year agreement with XS Technologies of Calgary, Alta., under which XST will use capacity aboard TMI's MSAT-1 satellite to offer customers across North America, Central America and part of South America an efficient and reliable means of tracking and managing mobile assets. "TMI's satellite-based mobile data services are ideal for organizations that need to track and manage valuable goods, cargo or equipment on the go," said Larry Boisvert, TMI's president and chief executive officer. "Our contract with XS Technologies signals the emergence of TMI Communications as an important network and service provider in the security and asset-tracking sectors across the continent." Using TMI's extensive coverage, XST will now be able to expand its customer base into new markets, as well as provide enhanced service to existing clients. XST's MobileTrac products enable companies to monitor and protect all types of mobile assets and remote stationary equipment, such as generators, oil and gas or agricultural machinery, and other valuables. For example, a piece of heavy machinery that has gone missing from a work site -- a common problem in the construction industry today -- can be located quickly and accurately using XST's satellite-based tracking systems, whether it is stationary or on the move. "We're delighted to be working with TMI to provide new levels of mobile data and asset protection services to customers in the Americas," said John Way, president of XST. "TMI's experience and outstanding reputation as a satellite solution provider makes them an ideal partner for XST as we grow our business across the continent." The three year contract with BCE's subidiary company, TMI Communications, certainly is the type of release we have been waiting for. Coupled with the Telus Mobility contract, and A.R. Williams announced in September, XST is definitely alligning themselves with the right companies.
