New website design

Looks pretty good with the blue. The how to buy button doesn't work though.

I hope they have permission of the Seahawks to have their logos on their website. Even if they are on a fan, they are very prominent. Or, even better, they have permission because Seahawks are a new client
Comment by Nightstocker on Apr 10, 2021 12:21pm
That said, it is definitely an improvement. This website is all about clients and sales- not about appealing to other techies. This dovetails nicely into the anticipated newsletter next week.  Is Evans doing the big reveal? Is shite finally getting real? Dare we hope?

I agree the new website is far simpler to navigate and straight forward.. I like the clear messaging on the 'business proposal' of speeding up entry into your facilities so you can make more on concessions etc.  The "hidden tax" is catchy. I noted that STS is now gone, so long Sotech I presume. g

Look much better imo
Comment by BaronBuffett on Apr 10, 2021 8:37pm
I wonder if it really is gone. They're still working on CMR and it's gone as a standalone on the webpage, so maybe everything will just be integrated into the single MSG unit as the whole thing is deemed 'multi-sensor'. I think STS was less important and bottom of the sensor list. It was a nice to have.

Could just be a stock photo but the Lumen field also hosts the MLS team Seattle Sounders. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumen_Field

Stock photo companies are not permitted to sell images containing third party logos or brand wording.
Comment by Roadrunner71 on Apr 11, 2021 12:29pm
Hobby stock photographer here. Yes they can sell those types of images but only for editorial usage only, like newspapers or magazines.
Comment by Nightstocker on Apr 11, 2021 1:14pm
...and since Pat's website is neither, they have either received permission, or someone in their marketing section is going to get spanked.
Comment by Nightstocker on Apr 11, 2021 1:28pm
@roadrunner, you might want to review US and Canadian copyright laws. In both 17 US Code 106 and Canadian  Copyright Act (2012) no person shall sell for profit an image in which a third party copyrighted image, logo or wording is prominently displayed, and is clearly a central aspect to the meaning of said image. The sole exception is when it is sold as an artistic piece (think Andy Warhol& ...more

"logo or wording is prominently displayed, and is clearly a central aspect to the meaning of said image." That means if there is a Coke sign on a street image, the stock agency can sell it for editorial purposes.
Comment by Nightstocker on Apr 11, 2021 1:58pm
We can agree to disagree on this. End if the day, Pat doesn't have this image on their website for editorial purposes...it's to convey their positive role in the public event experience. Which goes back to my original statement- Pat either has permission from the Seahawks to use it, or they are  needing to take it down.
Comment by Roadrunner71 on Apr 11, 2021 2:12pm
Now this I can agree on! The part I was disputing was "Stock photo companies are not permitted to sell images containing third party logos or brand wording" a few posts back. Cheers
Comment by Roadrunner71 on Apr 12, 2021 10:11am
One more thing. That photo of the Seahawks fan cheering is staged. This is not the usual fans yelling editorial photo, it's a model posing for the camera. Notice there are no other fans in the background.  I think this was supplied by the Seahawks. Just my thoughts.
Comment by Nightstocker on Apr 12, 2021 11:15am
That would be awesome. Lumen Field would be a big feather in Pat's cap. Especially considering that Gates (Evolv) is from Seattle.
Comment by Roadrunner71 on Apr 12, 2021 12:34pm
Also that fan/model has the face makeup applied by a professional makeup artist. That's not some random fan with colours smeared on. Take from that what you will.  My work here is done with this thread. I go now.

Is it possible to find the origin of the pic, maybe a simple google search will do the trick?

I'm pretty sure that this would be a commissioned photo shoot by PAT. I doubt that the Seahawks would use this photo for themselves. All this was done with the Seahawks knowledge and permission (I hope) IMO
Comment by john378 on Apr 13, 2021 11:28am
That most definitely is an NFL copyrighted photo taken during the 2008 Wild Card game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Redskins

Proof? Can't say "definitely" without it.

Yes, a link to this photo would "definitely" be helpful

WOW! nice find. I will have to admit I was wrong all along :( I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Here's the link: https://www.gettyimages.ca/detail/news-photo/seattle-seahawks-fan-cheers-on-his-team-against-the-news-photo/78788843?adppopup=true Sorry to rain on this parade, but Pat paid 565.00 to use the photo. It is not necessarily an indicator of any contracts or agreements with the Seahawks.
