CMR alive?

Looks like Xtract are working on an updated version of the CMR. Would be a nice addition to the product portfolio together with the SmartGateway and SafeGateway. From the patent pending:
"A system and method of threat detection using a pulsed polarimetric radar system using microwave range of frequencies in the electromagnetic spectrum".

Interestingly, they also mentions the following:
"In another embodiment the sensor is incorporated into a system that is mounted on top of a vehicle and used to screen people on the approach. This could be deployed for use on law enforcement vehicles or military vehicles for example".

Anyone remember the demo they did in Dubai with the camera mounted on top of a police car? Are they reviving the concept? More confident now that current mgmt can navigate thru the FCC regulations than the previous one.

CMR...just hearing it uttered causes me anxiety.  Hearkens back to the Cronin days. Gave us so much hope, then it turned into Bigfoot when Cronin packed up his carnival act. That said, if it's back in play, and the tech gets past government approvals, it would be a huge add.

@nightstocker .. legend has it old Cronin owns the patents on the CMR.. if he would have just told the truth instead of playing that stupid cloak and dagger game and tanking us with the endless "strategic partnership's"  ugh...  but CMR or any derivative or other headline making patents would certainly break the stock slump I think.. finally focusing on us for a change. ...more

@plisken, it would add a big facet to what Xtract could offer. Would put us firmly into the running for  several govt, law enforcement and military applications. Im wondering if any control Cronin had was given up when he took down his sideshow tent. Hope CMR is free of his taint.

@nightstocker.. I don't know man, I think he's still attached to those patents.. also I'm curious as to how the ownership is going to work.. most of us real OG investors originally invested in the CMR.. so we funded it.. those patents are under Patriot one technologies though.. I wonder if there is some technicality BS that's going to pop up.. better not..

I've never really believed that CMR was out of the picture. Anytime Evans was asked about the sensors used on the Gateway system he always pleaded he could not divulge that information as it was considered a trade secret. I wondered whether CMR was integrated with other sensors on Gateway as it was not successful on its own. This may have given us an advantage in detecting knives and being ...more

CMR was never approved by the FCC. Its not in Gateway.
Comment by Golden100 on Feb 13, 2024 12:43am
I guess my question would be how does a person find out what is or isn't approved  by the FCC?  You seem to be quite sure of this.  After all this was just a theory of mine  Just asking?   It would be interesting to know. If that is the case then cudoos to you for knowing that.

The wavelengths we requested for CMR to operate in conflicted  with military parameters.
Comment by Golden100 on Feb 13, 2024 1:32am
Ok. Thanks for that. Was this something that was common knowledge from way back as I have been around for a long time and don't remember that. I guess my misunderstanding comes from the videos we saw of guys walking through the system in the early years. There was lots of testing and I thought demos as well. Would there not have to be FCC approval for that to happen. Just trying to figure out ...more

Yes, common knowledge that they shelved it since they couldnt make it commercially viable. it was classified as a through-wall imaging system by FCC, only to be used by law enforcement. they applied for waiver of the rules, allowing security professionals to operate the system but that never materialized. they also applied for experimental license to update the CMR but that was rejected since they ...more
