Bad Quarter?

Can't help but notice Xtract did not file an synopsis with highlights for the upcoming financials  like they did last quarter.

They were going to do this to stay consistent with other big companies reporting practices.

So what gives? They don't want to telegraph a down quarter in advance?

No effect last time so why bother. also now more focus on pending dhs.

While I agree it had no effect, I don't think that was the intended purpose of the advance notice. And Evans saying DHS is really really really close, (instead of really really close,) is not a measurable increase in focus. At over one year since DHS application, I believe more should be demanded from Evans to provide clarity as to the inordinate delay.

Night as we noted earlier this week, they have a new Investor Relations firm in place now. I suspect it was them who put the kibosh on the Preliminary Financials for one reason or another. And as was stated in their recent Base Shelf Prospectus, they are expecting $17M in revenues in the coming 12 months. Given Peter's ways of being fairly conservative about most things, I'm thinking $17M ...more

Any reason behind having the earnings call during trading hours? Don't think I've ever seen one that wasn't at the end of the trading day.

I was thinking about that too, Night. I think it's also a choice of the new IR firm. My guess is that the institutional firms obviously have hundreds (more like thousands) of quarterly calls to pick from and listen to/watch, virtually all being at 5/6pm or 7/8am. I think the 10am time gives them little competition for other earnings calls and hopefully gets them more of the ears and eyes with ...more

I think it's becoming fairly common for earnings calls to be scheduled for morning of the following day during trading hours. Obviously no material information will be released during the earning call.  I happen to like the time they've chosen 10AM eastern since I'm located in Calgary where it will be 8am, not too terribly early for an old retired geezer like me! I'll be ...more

I doubt its the reason but also perfect time for nordics where x1 has loads of followers. Also they attend SBJ conference which only ends on thursday.. but yeah, I like the theory of less competition during trading hours. New analysts followers and big investors needed

OMG, the nordics on the FB page are painful. Either asking obvious, repetitive questions with zero due diligence, or rambling ad nauseum in Danish/ Swedish on an English FB page.
