Earnings Call?

I didn't get a chance to listen in...anything interesting?

Was Evans actually given some tough questions on DHS, or did he just add an extra "really" onto "really, really soon?

Hopefully, they weren't all softballs...

Very interesting call. U should listen, so much stuff and institution members bombarding with questions live on call. Was nive to hear em.

Actually the best XTRA CC I have listen to so far. Not because of the run of the mill CC stuff but because of the Q&A segment.  DHS remains the elephant in the room. My guess is that’s it’s being held up by big money and not by technical shortcomings.

@baxbax, to be honest, the fact the first words you typed weren't  "DHS” makes me think it is probably the same old meaningless platitudes from PE. But I'll listen all the same.

Worth a listen for sure Night. Definitely a little net new in there but there was a lot of soft balls in the questions. The second guy's questions were SO set up. For me the takeaway was the seasonality reminder around Q2 and that it has been their slowest quarter traditionally. Makes sense given NBA and NHL seasons ending in the spring and then reviewing security, etc. He said that they have ...more

I'm totally in the same boat, Davinator. Too late in the game not to let it play out. I wouldn't be surprised to find that when we do eventually get DHS designation, we discover we were rejected at least once, if not twice. Whether those rejections are technical or political, who knows? Would explain why we are still circle jerking after a year plus since application, when 120 days is ...more

LOL. Yes Night....my dictionary of legalese has "circle jerking" as a synonym for "getting the run around."  As I also said yesterday, I'm in agreement with kidl2 that it's big money Gatesian/EVLV connections that I think are responsible for our current circle jerking status at DHS.

Haha we can then use our time in post approval world to speculate on which of the "many teams" are first to sign. But yeah Peter has to dig that cert now, no matter what needs to be done. Financial estimates look superb for H2 then, so maybe even something to be excited. Until then we run around in the wheel of **** politics.

Probably not the best descriptor from a visualization point on view for sure, Davinator. Just. So. Frustrated. A lot of folks on the FB IKEA group and CEO.ca are all outraged that we are actually down on these financials. I guess folks forget the are superior number from the previous two quarters failed to budge the needle. Meanwhile, Evolv has clawed back a third of their losses in the ...more
