A lot of discussion by commentators about the security routines to get these rally's set up and how the metal detectors are so antiquated. No idea where the actual shooter was located -- whether he/she was in a location that required metal detection in the crowd. Also sorry to hear some innocent victim died just from being in the line of fire and shots that missed Trump. One report says the

Yes I didn't mean to sound glib, people died.  Sad. I'm doubting a trained sniper (at rest from a safe distance) would fail to kill his target at kid mass. Strictly my opinion, but I bet a gun was in the crowd. The investigation will reveal more obvs.   G
