Devolv tit for tat...

Can't help but think that Devolv put a rush on their new product NR this morning after our news yesterday. Bashtards! Their "new" product is weapons detection "for bags". Sounds like quite the ground breaking innovation. Hasn't our system been doing this since inception???
Just can't wait for the day our SP surpasses theirs.

https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/evolv-technology-unveils-high-speed-120000105.html Well that looks awkward and expensive in comparison to our  new AI walkthrouh capabilities. They lose portability by now needing 2 machines to do the job that our one system does, not to mention they have difficulty with accuracy detecting knives on a person.  I would say their AI is limited compared to ...more

Great points.  Larger, less portable and more expensive too!  I was just thinking function and operations. This is just perfect for us!!   g

With the introduction of this baggage scanner isn’t EVLV essentially admitting that their existing walkthrough scanner can’t deal with bags, backpacks etc?

Just looking at the evolve PR from today. Look at the graphic of the system.  It appears the person being scanned divests their bag and it is scanned separately!  This is not a comparable product or approach to what we've just achieved. There will be confusion and slow downs simply due to the divesture of these bags, and the bags not necessarily being scanned in sync with the ...more

Yup looks akward and expensive. Its probaly creates confusion and quenues as been said. Also it doesnt looks customer friendly and requires a lot of space. I see their point, once they cant get the pillars to do the work they add this. Good for us that they take this backward step. Who on earth wants that set of systems on their school yard. All in all seems quite the opposite of AI techs idea ...more

Is it possible...that this knee-jerk reaction by devlolve simply a 'defensive' move in attempt to preserve some of their recent installs? By that I mean that clients who have purchased part of the solution and can simply add the ill-thought out bag thing to avoid full replacement? That is the only semi-logical reason I can think of, and if there is any rhyme or reason to this, and that is ...more

I think it says a lot about their AI capabilities. From the beginning their AI tech ( as they call it) was really only a glorified metal detector. Their capabilities and questionable overstatements of their product have brought law suits and criticisms. Amazing what can be done with deep pockets. Just buy your sales. The proof is in the pudding and smoke and mirrors can only take you so far.

Does someone want to break it to Evolv that they are essentially restructuring venue queues to become airport lineups? Huge self-own, IMO.
