2.6 million shares short
Oil ran up extremely fast. Seems to me these shorts are trapped when you look at the thin level 2 and the very low average daily volume.. What does it take to gap this up 20-30%? YGR is lagging behind CPG , MEG , CVE etc..

A close above 1.20 either today or tomorrow would be lovely momentum wise... Not over shorts...game is not over...

Is BMO the short seller here?

No...I think BMO is a friend to YGR...been accumulating for awhile on buy side even at 1.25-1.30... I suspect the shorters trade though Anonymous, CIBC, National...maybe more. A account through National Bank is shorting a ton of juniors

Ok thanks. Watching close here, as short interest ticked up. I like how it's holding now... Just need oil to settle and we should be fine

Wow...looks like the shorters are back at er..another 40k block at 1.19... Not too concerned...been buying today. YGR is netbacking 28 bucks a barrel plus right now...CF will be over a dollar a share if these prices hold. GL al

Disappeared anyways. Haha. Looking good for a 1.20+ close. I got a few more this morning too.

I guess the upside of the huge YGR short count is it provides us protection on down days...short covering is likely keeping a floor on our price.... Or insiders are buying again...time will tell but so far so good on a bad oil day....

Good catch. But this is not the first time this happens with YGR. Given that nat gas has corrected lately and YGR is nat gas weighted, its performance is largely dependent on nat gas, not oil.
