YGR Hammered

Among worst performer in disastrous 2 days. You buying Kav?
Comment by Westboro1 on Jul 06, 2022 11:53am
Buyers are not lined up....what a bargain! Doesn't make sense unless a key trader or two are crashing the gaps to create selling pressure ....and load up
Comment by Hungus on Jul 06, 2022 8:26pm
Bargain indeed! Wow! I broke my own rule today of never buying non-dividend stocks anymore and loaded up in the 40s today (nearly doubling my previous position). With dividends to be announced soon anyway - who in their right mind could resist! Never, ever thought I'd see this under $2.50 again. I fully expect the book value reported in a few weeks to be $4.80 or more. Hopefully they won't ...more

How about the recession fear and oil prices correction?
Comment by Hungus on Jul 06, 2022 9:44pm
Fear creates terrific bargains, is all I have to say to that. At the end of the day, who cares what may or may not happen in the near future? We can buy a $20 bill here with a tenner and change. As Peter Lynch used to say "If you spent 14 minutes in a year studying economics, you've wasted 12 minutes." Seriously, will any of that affect YGRs profitablility? Not bloody likely. These ...more

My theory for everything is that fundamentals win in the end, and the rest is just noise. This has been painful, but I believe in the end it will he worth alot more than today's close. Will just take longer than I wanted.

Not yet but definitely paying more attention.  Based on price of gold and silver and other hard assets...rush too cash and liquidity is king right now. Summer months are super greasy.  Have visions still  of being margin called last August when OBE hit 2.90.
Comment by kavern23 on Jul 06, 2022 2:12pm
Prob going to do 50,000 shares at 2.20....leave enough archers for 100,000 shares at 1.80....150,000 shares if it happened to further drop to 1.50. Not naive that I can time or outsmart traders during this volitle period. General blueprint i have although I hope YGR stays over 2.50 so I can enjoy a summer vacation  in July without being in stock market.
Comment by kavern23 on Jul 14, 2022 12:54pm
Guess I need to stay f:ing home and not take vacation as valuations are getting more to my liking to be a buyer.  YGR share price is getting closer.  I have never bought into the plus 100 dollar oil camp, hence sitting on the sidelines.  Really enjoyed not having the stress of owning oil and gas stocks. Even if this was to hit 2.20 tomorrow (not saying it will, I doubt it will ...more

Bought at $2. Rode up to $4 and did not sell. Really regretting that now. Also regret not selling at $3 last week now. What a disaster this last month has been. Feels like a falling knife but if oil averages 85 and aeco averages 4.50 for next year company is debt free and trading at over 50% FCF yield at today's price. Not sure why it keeps being the worst performer on the day. A buyout would ...more

Just like the 2.60 wall someone has locked it now at 2.31 to 2.33. In retrospect maybe the 2.60 seller knew what they were doing and just getting out.

This is over the top selling
Comment by kavern23 on Jul 14, 2022 1:14pm
Sorry to hear that. Drilling in good potential locations, best is yet to come for production.
Comment by Hungus on Jul 14, 2022 1:27pm
LOL. I have pretty much the opposite experience here. Loaded up big time after covid crash/oil price war for a 56 cent cost basis, then sold half those shares around $1.35-40. Kind of regret that a bit, but I was waaaaay over-weighted in just this one stock. Now, I'm once again waaaay over-weighted in just this one stock and have tripled my cost basis to $1.62 now (averaged up). No regrets ...more

Yes, I am way concentrated here but have an eye on post Q2 and the fall.
Comment by Helloworld on Jul 14, 2022 2:29pm
No buyers these days. Second time in last week slightly above average volume and YGR lags peers significantly by 5%. Easy pickings for shorts now or someone really wants out.
