No Buyers

Depressing watching this sink day after day. About to capitulate. Stocks up. Oil up. Oil stocks mostly up. This thing sinking. One of worst 5 sector performers every day for the past 8 trading days.

Not true. Compare to OBE. Very similar movement.

Agree it has been tracking OBE on the recent downturn. But did not track OBE on the upswing. As a result YGR is a few pennies above July low while OBE is still 20% up from the July lows with most other stocks. You would think it just keeps becoming a more attractive bargain but momentum seems to win.

ultimately as long as production lags estimates there is no momentum.

The SP could intentionally be controlled by a suitor to develop a control position and maybe hold it down for a buy-out

In my life of investing I have heard those claims but never actually saw it happening. The volume is also much too low for any strategic vacations to be underway. More likely that there is just a small universe of oil and gas investors and this name is below their radar or less attractive than some other names.

Vacations=actions. Hate the auto spelling.

There is also the technical aspect. I am not big on technicals but the curve looks awful. For people looking to short oil equities they will see the curve and high short volume and assume it's a good short bet. For longs they will see the curve and not want to buy a falling knife and wait it out for better deals. No buybacks and no institutional buying to support things... feels like it may go ...more

These are all possibilities...we've seen run-ups this summer and of course selling into strength. But someone is happy with that intense push that lasted many days in June to $4. I dont believe it was just retail investors as the volumes were high and steady.....up to almost $1miion on the final push. Downside can happen fast and on low volume we have seen. Warren says....follow the volume ... ...more
