IPO= Not very good I have said this forever, but it's only a matter of time before YGR share price is above IPO

Didn't think it was a terrible quarter for IPO. Noisy numbers with wildfire and third party shutins but they also have six really strong oil wells in a row now. 3 in Willy and 3 in Ferrier. 40 million in debt is close enough to zero. again not sure what management was thinking with the nat gas. 2.60 is basically zero hedged.  could have been better but really only if they own their ...more

I think the only other co. running an oil drilling program in Chedder is WCP.. Big wells just east of YGR land. In fact Excaliber rig #12 is sitting there right now.... Clearly WCP doesn't PR these wells but the data is out there on PN and such......

I think WCP calls it the Garrington field but it is close to Cheddarville. Hopefully YGR consultants copy WCP completation methods. 91000 barrels of oil in 10 months is f*ckin fantastic

Trying to be optimistic in the market this week is like jumping off a hotel roof during a fire and yelling so far so good.  The two things IPO has going for it is a meaningful oil cut -not ngl- and only 40 million in debt.  They have a lot more flexibility than most companies their size. YGR is obviously far cheaper and probably has way more momentum going into the back half.   ...more

Ipo relative to ygr is an interesting analysis. Very similar shares outstanding and market caps yet very different product mixes. On fundamentals ygr usually out performs on FFO per share and eps yet they trade at 70% of ipo. This is largely driven by the dividend I believe for ipo. I think in the next 6 months ygr gets a rerate and may pass ipo in stock price however that depends greatly on ...more

My sentiments exactly. If you could have the IPO management team at the helm of YGR this looks entirely different.

Yes, agreed YGR is in the penalty box compared to IPO.  IPO does have much lower debt, bought quite a bit of land with their last takeover and basically saved the company two or three years ago with exploration drilling. They moved production from under 5000 boe to 10,000 before shutins last quarter in about 3 Years. So that is decent.  IPO issued a lot of stock for the last ...more

I agree that YGR longer term prospects are better than IPO. IPO needs really high commodity prices to work as they spend alot of capital per well....they must frac really hard. Without equpment costs they spent over 4m a well. Harder for a well to work at that cost if oil is lower.
