Very interesting Chambers License....

Remember how I said chambers NG pipeline and compressor investment was likely due to fact other zones than Cardium to justfy investment.

While east of chambers, near YGR big 14 well pad in Ferrier, Taqa drilled a belly river extended reach well 9 months ago.  Really only belly river well tried in whole area of ferrier.

Results are impressive for Taqa on belly river.  On month 9, 200 barrels of oil per day and 100 BOE of NG. 47000 barrels of oil after 9 months and still hammering hard. Taqa owns belly river rights under YGR ferrier land but chambers YGR owns more than Cardium zone.

YGR licensed a belly river well in Chambers on Oct 24th.

This could be a sign YGR is going to pivot to more oily based drilling until NG outlook cycles better.

I was hoping YGR would do this as that belly river well that is really only 4 sections away by Taqa is impressive.

Belly river wells look about 1000-1200 feet shallower than cardium and then hit it horizontal.

That is pretty interesting.. Wouldn't that be the first ever non Cardium well they ever drill, I can't remember any others? Better use of capital than a .03c special divy. heheh---- Lets hope anyways. Good to see the realists on the board here. Good reading. I'm in the natty bull camp- long term. PEY been a nice stock to hold here- (is the market smart enough to see 5yrs out ...more

Ygr did a duvernay well way back...maybe 2016 ish...problem was capital cost back then for duvernay wasnt great compared to now. Seems to be belly river oil wells tried in kinda a trainangle over central alberta. Gull Lake - Inplay oil Brazeau - Highwood energy Ferrier - Taqa What makes Taqa so good is no water so far.  IPO well has oil in Belly but 80% water cut. Same with highwood. Not ...more

About time they moved out of their comfort zone. I have been wanting them to do this for a while. Their current drilling strategy is keeping the lights on but they have mostly tread water. They need to either find new zones on their existing land, improve the results or acquire new acreage where they can.

Rex agreed. New zone or explore a merger. I think its is cheddarville that is causing the treading water. Ferrier is good though, ferrier is keeping company from sinking imo. Taqa must have really good completions staff along with good service crew used. I dont belly river tickeness in ferrier but I thought lots of it in central albera is 3-7m. So have to frac and drill quite accurately. But is ...more
