2025 Capital Budget and Operations update

Very few words but keeping production flat with $55-60 million capital leaving $30 million FCF in 2025. Hopefully they will get some commodity price help. Sounds like all is well with financing and running a tight ship.

NG is about to break out and I believe aeco will go up too. Too much exports to Europe and Asia.

management wants their low-priced options for another year. commodity prices peaked in 2022 with AECO above $5.00 and they still stayed flat?? It's all becoming rather clear. But yet they are "growth oriented and focused on growth through the drill bit." If 60M capex is a 90M cash flow or $1.50 return for every $1.00 invested, how does it makes sense to stop growing and pay out ...more

that's also why they don't want to do a buyback when it's clearly more tax effiicient and more return when the share price is this undervalued. They want to take all the cash for themselves it's pathetic they company has so much potential I really hope they get bought out soon or I can exit at a reasonable price I have no faith in their "new mantra" all the old investors ...more

Someone fell off the bandwagon. You were so full of optimism a couple of months ago. Given recent natural gas prices, these guys are handling things very well. There are no silver bullets these days. Obe is executing the type of model you are supporting. The share price results the last couple of months have been even worse than ygr. It is an unloved sector with juniors evenly more heavily ...more

OBE is more unloved than most, Nuvista and Crew also did the same and were rewarded a lot better than OBE and regardless all created real value. The decision to stay flat for the last 5 years just isn't rational (especially in 2022) unless you consider it from management's personal financial interest they do better when the share price is lower from their options they clearly aren't ...more

Obe is more unloved than most because it is a hard story to sell to institutional investors mixing high growth new assets (peace river) with old cardium legacy assets that are hard to develop in a 68 wti and 2 aeco enviro. the "mba educated types" will mostly only want Obe if company was split into 2. This is one of reasons I think gear oil split and sold off old legacy assets as the ...more

OBE is more unloved than most because they had accouting fraud less than 10 years ago, had to rebrand the company and replace all the management, and have very high depreciation and F&D costs compared even to other Cardium producers, you start looking at Athabasca or other companies and the depreciation/depletion is the highest of all companies it's like 66% of cash flow very capital ...more
