RE Franky06 Post

Hi Franky06.  Thank you for your post, but you  should   get  Artie involved here, as he is the wiser, more intelligent,  elder statesman on this forum.  I was once a huge "YNG Cheerleader" until i finally woke up to all the BS, and broken promises, Fantasyland Future Projections never fulfilled, ,  and just plain incompetence. Check my posts! up to the  late summer of 2009. I will try to respond to that  Newmont ore contract.. As you know, YNG acquired Queenstake in  early 2007.  At that time I urged strongly that we all vote in favor of this acquisition, while Artie and the more intelligent Queenstakers were urging a vote  against it.   This contract  is nothing new.  Here's a quote from a Queenstake  release from March 2006. At that time Queenstake was operating 3 of the 4  mines in Jerrit Canyon, Shortly after that  Queenstake  closed 2 of the mines as they were mined out and no longer econonical to operate..   This  has to do with Newmont.   "The contract calls for the puirchase of " at least "  500,000 tons  per year  over 2 years.  Ore purchases with Newmont may continue for up to three more years  if Queenstake  has the spare processing capacity".    By the winter of 2006, Queenstake was on the brink of bankruptcy.  In my opinion,   It now seems YNG is  nothing more than  a Newmont contractor.  Arties views would be more enlightining. Pitch in Artie.       Cheers      ICE

However my understanding is that there is new management in Yukon-Nevada. The old management ran the company into the ground and lost your money. But some savvy investors bought the ashes and the current company is a turn around story. In ...more

https://www.yukon-nevadagold.com/s/NewsReleases.asp?ReportID=349774&_Type=News-Releases&_Title=Yukon-Nevada-Gold-Corp.-Announces-New-CEO-and-COOPlease take note of the above press release. The company hired a new CEO and COO. The fact that some old employees may still be around does not change my view that there is now new management. There are also new and very sophisticated investors who ...more
