My Comment

My comment wasn't about the Chairman, but about the "new" statement

"which  remains focused on operations and cash flow growth at Jerritt Canyon, our gold producing property in Nevada.”

Nothing said there about anything else....a change of tack????? .........Richard

Pretty neutral, non-commital language in this NR..   Reading between the lines, it might confirm that their primary goal is to hit their 150K oz/year target before considering any other changes.   That was always their aim, though. I don't see where they've recently indicated any need or desire for hasty actions.

To me, it sounded like a change from the previous NR, that stated “which may include a sale, business combination, joint venture, merger, acquisition, strategic investment or other alternatives identified by the Company or the Financial Advisors that will serve to maximize shareholder value.” The sale of the company is the first thing on that list.   What they say today is: We ...more

I agree that it is a more positive proactive statement with the enphasis on a positve near future instead of topics like selling or a split. I have always viewed Mr. Baldock as a positive forward looking person as was to me, his statement !

The Chairman has resigned because he is up to his ears in hot water in his position as CEO of Baja Mining. That company is in a complete shambles. I found Baja through this contact-and now both companies have their issues. YNG looks to be on the upswing-Baja still in the swamp with the outcome in doubt. Take a look over there.

ex....you could be right, ....but, ..... they could have just said he was leaving, and they are looking for a new chairman.... There could have just been a bit too much comment to the company about the earler NR....which I thought was overly strong in statement....In fact I contacted a company official and got an email stating "The sale of the company is the first thing on that list. Richard, based on this new info about Baja, now I'm thinking you're really onto something. Now it sounds like YNG has pulled an aching tooth..
