Forward Contracts

Any stockhouse demigods with extensive gold expertise like to comment on these Forward Gold Purchase Agreement with Deutsche Bank AG ("Deutsche Bank")?  Even a mere mortal can see how dim witted they are.  Why the fire sale prices on forward contracts?  Hard to move forward when you are pulling ten tonnes of $#^$ behind you.  4 years from now gold may be $5000 and ounce and we are selling under $700 to Deutsche.  I don't get what this crack jack team is up to?

I'm no demigod or gold expert, but as I understand it they get paid about $685/oz when they drawdown.  Those oz are sold and calculated at the market price of gold, DB gets a spread of around $150/oz and everything over and above that YNG gets, capped at about $1900, over that and DB gets the rest.  Works out at about 5.8% interest rate over the 4 year term.  It's quite a ...more

A forward contract is a deal to deliver so many ounces at such and such price by such and such a date.  No where in the news release are there any details about getting paid $685, or a $150 spread, or any reference to market prices or caps.  If I am wrong please ask management to forgive me or not reading their minds.  That may have been a previous deal but the deal below appears ...more
