bode well for THO and shareholders. And working backwards in order
presented.
'FP/wire say Tahoe takes hit on Guatemala court ruling'
2017-08-28
FP being the Financial Post newspaper of Canada.

"It added there are no signs of an immediate resolution of a blockade by
protesters of the municipal road to the Escobal mine."
me- So THO can be told they can't continue mine operations and be enforced.
But protesters and road blockers can't be told they can't protest and can't road
block, and then be enforced.
However that didn't matter as long as THO's mining operations continued.
The US doesn't care because it, or the central bank wants to go on digital
money only, either by going into negative interest rates where depositors pay
the bank to store their money. Or by buying cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, when
eventually the central bank, ie FED creates it's own cryptocurrency we all have
to belong to, greatly bringing down bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies price

"The court is assessing whether Tahoe appropriately consulted with
Guatemalan indigenous communities after an environmental organization
argued that did not happen. In a statement, Tahoe said the constitutional
court's hearing on the "definitive" constitutional claim is scheduled for Aug.
28, and a ruling is expected "several months" afterward."
me- that is not what the court is assessing. It's assessing whether the
CALAS appeal that MEM, the Mining/Energy ministry of Guatemala and
hence in effect the gov't, didn't listen to indigenous people before granted
the mine to THO.
There is no new assessment whether THO didn't do that. It didn't have to.
MEM had to do that.
Why is THO being penalized while that is being decided.
Why didn't MEM first go to the lower court to get a court injunction against
CALAS and the protesters, ensuring they can be jailed for a period of time
every time they break the law.
Why does the UN want to keep indigenous people backwards in wild life
like preserves where they have no political influence, except they can stop
progress of themselves and surrounding community. That sounds pretty
political to me.

THis one wasn't mentioned becasue it had to be implied from no: (2)'s mistake.
The mistake being that the article above said THO didn't consult with indigenous
people as to having the indigenous people vet the question of whether the silver
mine should be built at all.
It's MEM the energy/mining ministry or in effect the gov't that has to get any
indigenous people consulted and to vet vote whether to build the mine at all.
Because of the stupid UN indigenous resolution and I guess because of the legal
arms of the UN in every nation now, especially emerging nations.
And remember from llihaved1's article ie
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2017/08/170830023245822.html that a UN legal arm is in Guatemala (and no doubt in most emerging nations
now), and going after the president. The president being a comedian.
From the Bloomberg article I quoted from the other day ie
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-07-13/tahoe-to-weigh-spending-and-dividend-cut-as-guatemala-halt-bites THO is asking why isn't the Guatemala gov't and courts acting properly?
“Management will need to find a balance between (i) maintaining social license
(? lax legal and political Process ?) and (ii) putting political pressure on the country
to get it to “behave properly””
me- nothing is being done right or enforced. The MEM Energy ministry ie the gov’t
said there is no significant indigenous people is not being enforced. The lower court
is not upholding that and I guess believing CALAS over it’s own gov’t. And the court
system from the lower/higher courts to police on down are not placing injunctions
on CALAS and the protesters, nor enforcing longer and longer jail time for
disobedience.
The higher court preliminarily went along with the lower court’s
decision favoring CALAS. Now will decide formally over the next 3 months of I
supposed field work to see if indigenous people are there, whether to still uphold
the lower court’s decision in favor of CALAS and the protestors. If so I guess it
will take 12 to 18 months to consult with the indigenous to vet vote whether to
have THO’s already existing mine there or not.
I'm going to keep quietly for a while, because it is all very depressing, not
funny and not following decent rules of law. Just criminal ones!
