about it's earlier opinion on THO's suspension around July 5th, because of the
CALAS indigenous rights case before the lower supreme court of Guatemala. It
said THO's suspension would be lifted soon or should never have happened
because of earlier precedents of no suspension while the case is being proceeded
with.
https://incakolanews.blogspot.ca/2017/08/tahoe-resources-taho-thoto-in-ikn432.html It said:
"I find this (THO's suspension) surprising. In the note “Tahoe Resources (TAHO):
A buying opportunity (now)?” by IKN425 dated July 9th, just after the original
suspension and lodging of the appeal with the CC (constitutional court) by TAHO."
"I made mention of the CC (constitutional court) action and the precedent it could
follow in the ruling it made earlier in the year, when on May 26th it lifted the
operating permit suspension on the Oxec I and Oxec II hydroelectric operation
and allowed it to continue while its case proceeded.
I thought that (Oxec) precedent would see TAHO get back to work and assuming
last week’s (July 5th or so) news is upheld officially in the days to come. I was
wrong on that call."
me- Now the call from the IKN site is right, that THO suspension would be lifted
(and probably never should have happened by the lower court because of the Oxec
precedent), and is a buying opportunity at the lower price. Which is about to get at
least a little higher since the THO operations suspension has been lifted.
But the final resolution of the CALAS supreme court case, to not only suspend
THO but prevent it from being there and in operation, (because of UN's indigenous
rights not to have it existing if nearby indigenous people vote to not have it in
existence), still has to be decided.
That could take a year to decide and with fresh indigenous voting if not consulted
right, or voting for the first time if never took place.
