It has set aside $2.6 billion for the money laundering issues and this would be for the worse case scenario. This means that the uncertainty over the payout has gone which has caused the stock to rally. Also the U.S. regulatory board may constrict expansion in the U.S. but this could be good for TD since it would need to focus more in Canada.

Yeah , no big deal , only 2.8 billion in whose money , ours the real owners , oh yes those incompetents in TD HQ own shares as well , most given as rewards not their money , and look at how much their comp3nsation is for gross negligence. If integrity was an operative world at HQ they would all resign but no let's lie low until the rank and file fools like me who own and have been punished ...more

The American governments make a lot of money levying huge fines against large companies.  Someone has to fund their crazy social programs and it's us shareholders.
