Earnings

It is actually amazing that no matter what news or business development the company announces, nothing ever manifests itself in improved earnings. The earnings are still basically NIL. The net book value per share is CAD$0.89 while the stock is at $0.48. At some point they have to seek to maximize shareholder value.

Earnings look better if you back out share based compensation and legal fees associated with Urbancorp. Presumably both will not be back next quarter. I think they can earn 2 cents next quarter and if that’s 8 cents annualized. It’s at 6x earnings.

You are right. But even at 8 cents per share of annual earnings, it is hard to imagine having a trading price near the book value per share. Of course as they achieve these earnings the net book value will continue to grow as well given that there is no dividend. I have held onto these shares despite the longer term downward pressure simply because I believe that at some point, the company needs ...more

Last year they talked about a dividend or an acquisition at the AGM but have done nothing. Now with Urbancorp in the rear view, maybe things can change.

i still believe something is in the work. The facts house 16 ( which is responsible to buy back share) keep buying shares lately tell me that they are confident to get all the shares at this cheap price.

They've also added about $50 million CDN in projects this quarter.  That's about 25% in additional projects in one quarter, not too shabby.
