Copper Boom ?

This sentence from this article is mind blowing as to just how urgent supplies will be needed.
In two decades, copper producers must, at the minimum, double the current production of 20Mt to have a chance of coming close to meeting demand. This equates to one new Escondida mine (1Mt annual production) every year for the next 20 years!

this is very possible...but research and technology will try to find new answers to replace metals...if they are not successful then metals like copper will soar in price
