I decided to day trade aphria with my Canadian holdings all the while leaving my core position.  Being trapped a few days in Limbo and unable to trade and take advantage of high lows and what not bugged me a tad. It's no ones fault it's just the process of the conversion and time it took wasn't as I imagined that's all. My bad I will get over it no ones fault but my own. I could have sold my CaD holdings just before merger and taken advantage of some dips. I didn't think we would be trapped a week the stock took a beating lol. It happens

Makes one wonder! A full week our shares are locked up and it dives.  The minute our shares are free to trade but the loss is already done. Talk about the big banks and shorters taking advantage of us here.  Conspiracy or rotten timing? Regardless this is a long term hold for me and not selling. Ron

Hi Ron Here is my take on what took place How long does it take a trade to settle? 2 days, right That is what happened as the APHA shares had to be sold & then rethought as the new Tilray cdn shares. They couldn't just be converted over, they had to be sold That is also why there will be tax consequences for shares held in a cash or registered account We could trade APHA Cdn shares up

Exactly. I understand everyone's explanations perfectly. But anyway I shake the stick, it was a beating. I fully believe the way the shares were calculated and the average given was absolutely robbery on my TSX holding. Somethings not right. If Aphria had popped twenty percent from where I purchased some of those TsX shares at 19.40, I would have closed the gap on most of the haircut. However

I lost $12k on my tsx Aphria conversion to Tilray?  How could all of us have gotten this interpretation wrong??? I mean we are not all ceo or financial gurus here but I am sure we are not all dummies here either.   My guess is this was not presented accurately in the prospectus I received and reviewed.   I thought the tsx Aphria listed shares would first be converted to
