.8381 conversion for Tilray shares
Was the conversion accurate for you ?
Ie .. if I had 10,000 shares now I should have 8381 shares ?
I finally got to see my wife's and my investments on Td WEB brokers,,and after I did the conversion for the number of shares we have after using the .8381 it seemed off ..
It could be me not calculating correctly,, just curious if anybody had the same problem ?

That is correct. What is the average share price you get if you were averaged in at 18.77. The 18.77 is my average.

Thanks Shazam I thought after I multiplied my number of shares by .8381 and then compared the number of shares the TD bank gave me didn't matchup.. probably I did the math wrong ..

Hi Shaz. I'll weigh in on this one for you. If your average price of APHA shares was $18.77 Canadian, your new break even price for the new Tilray is $22.40 Canadian.

Can you tell me how you calcutated that? Do you know what the price of the shares were at close is on the 30th?

Sure. Simply take $18.77 and divide by .8381. That gives you $22.40. It is the same as starting with $22.40 and multiplying by .8381 which will give you $18.77. Aphria shares closed at about $15.38 Canadian on the 30th. Hope this helps.

I think you are missing something. The exchange ratio of the 15.38 needs to be taken into effect.

My average says it is 19.35. Now I did call TD up to place an order and I sold 100 shares. That was on Wednesday and did some small trades with those funds on Thursday. Was lucky to have gotten in at 17.03 and sold those on friday but it wasn't a lot that I did. I guess either way. At least I still have my shares. with a little cash to play with.

On my activity page in web broker. It says 480 aphria shares were dispersed and the value was 7803. That same day the Tilray shares showed up at the same value was asigned. So you take 7803 divided by 402 tilray shares and there is the 19.40 average. My new 19.35 average was cause I did those little trades.

Yes Cent. You are correct. It was pretty late when I looked up that info last night for Shaz. As I revisit the sites I see it was US.

Vinny, I see we both were up late. Either way, it's all good at the end of the day.

Vegas, I hold 3 TD Waterhouse accounts and when doing the conversion (X .8381) they all came out exactly as shown in my accounts. I'm not sure why your's did not. Perhaps you need to give them a call.

Look at your activity tab. You will see on May 6th the exchange happen. Take the value and divide it by the amount of tilray shares. That will give you the average.

Though there will be other calculations needed if I'm not mistaken. It's a little funny that I'm not the best at math yet deal with numbers all the time when trading lol.

You guys are going too far with stupid calculation. Only way they can do it right is to close the Apha and use that proceedings to buy the Tilray shares. Since your cash didn't change and the number of shares is the rounded fractions, the average cost per share is the one that can be different. But that don't matter, because you gained that while closing Apha.

My average costs are slightly off. (just a few cents) but my number of shares converted exactly.

Cibc fumbled completely screwed over the tsx shares. I wish I could tell you there was someone to call. See what you can do contacting your financial advisor but she will tell you it's not her department. Leave Cibc. I am Monday and I can't wait
