Tilray Anheuser Busch InBev sale breakdown

"Anheuser Busch bought Blue Point Brewery in 2014 for $24 million.
AB bought 10 Barrels Brewery in 2015 for $50 million.
AB bought Breckenridge Brewery in 2016 for $70 million !
Thats $144 million and I haven't even mentioned HiBall energy, Widmer Bros. , Redhook, Shock Top or Square Mile Cider!
Add at minimum another $100 million for those and you get the picture.
Simon made a GREAT $85 million deal with the hurting Anheuser Busch/InBev giant and gave Tilray more control of the craft beer industry while adding many more avenues of distribution. It takes a giant to become one."

NOTE:
Plus increased value of real estate, inventory...
I've seen large purchases of businesses that the final sale amounted only to property values. I believe this fall along those same lines.

Amazing Dave! Thanks for this! I remember when it was such a big deal to have InBev as an investor in TLRY/Aphria. Now TLRY owns 8 of their breweries for pennies on the dollar, who would have thought. Brilliantly done by IS.  The big whales will be begging to be part of TLRY.   The fortress has and still is being built from the ground up, brick by brick. Cheers, V

Its actually more than 8 breweries as some of the largest breweries had also previously bought out other breweries.  Breckenridge shows that process. But its with a few

IMHO Bud messed up royally with that that whole ad campaign they had going and a lot of beer drinkers just walked away on distain for the company vs. anything with the products.  If TLRY simply does an ad campaign on these craft beers and somehow "discreetly" note that these brands are now "Under New Management" then the folks who walked away will come back. Going forward ...more
