Powell still Hawkish

Not as bad as last years speech in regards to the sell off but, still disappointing.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell took a hawkish tone in his speech at Jackson Hole, noting that while inflation has tumbled in recent months, it isn’t yet at an acceptable level. Officials at the central bank are prepared to do whatever it takes to bring the rate down to the 2% target, he said.

“Although inflation has moved down from its peak—a welcome development—it remains too high, Powell said Friday.

Thanks for the update Ventura. Jerome Powell has been a buzz kill for every investor not just us. He should be lowering interest or pausing all together to avoid a recession.

What else do you expect from Powell today? He can only tone hawkish to scare people from spending. That is how they could bring the inflation down. No spending means no inflation!  Stock market is a different thing... here shorts really want Powell to go hawkish, when they are all set to cover the position. This is a see-saw game.....

S&P, Nasdaq close higher, snap 3-week losing streak  Good job by the bulls! Stocks rallied Friday as traders cheered comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell at the annual central bank conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, that point to stronger-than-expected economic growth. Chees, V
