A little recognition for a big problem. Small steps first to help level the playing field. Short sales should be outlawed because it is a stacked deck against retail shareholders. The banksters and moneymen already have insider information or make the news look bad for a company to line their own pockets and it results in killing the potential of good startups. You may be surprised about my view, but I do not agree with you.    I do not trade short myself due to uncapped loss potentials but the original goal of allowing these trades was to motivate trading firms to investigate and expose companies who were misleading their own investors (eg. Enron / Nortel).  One false claim that comes to mind is the Tesla story that Hedge Fund ...more
