Tilray Brands - German Cannabis Legalization Update

Carmen Wegge    @CarmenWegge

"The CannG will be decided in December. This means that we are not keeping to the schedule. I know this is a huge disappointment for many. That's why this decision wasn't easy for anyone. However, well-designed improvements are in all of our interests."

Note: Delayed from final reading originally scheduled for Nov 16 then final decision likely late November.
But delayed with Middle East, now catching up with "improvements".

This is for Pillar 1 of the Cannabis act, which for the most part is Cannabis Clubs that have nothing to do with commercial cannabis.

Concerns about distance from schools, etc

German Medical Cannabis is separate from the German Cannabis Act

"Medical cannabis should be legally clearly separated from cannabis for non-medical purposes. Medical cannabis is therefore not regulated in the Cannabis Act, but in a separate Medical Cannabis Act. The content of the existing regulations on medical cannabis remains"

Boris has high hopes for International Operations.  Dont blame him, that's where the growth is now. TLRY completed the heavy lifting years ago. Tilray Pharma to sweep across European Union. With a far advanced footprint than most. Boris Jordan: I'll start, and Ed, if you can address on the margin profile. So in Europe, our two main markets, as we said are the U.K. and Germany. We& ...more

Boris Jordan is very knowledgeable on the European Markets. Boris is very open and states positive true remarks Yesterday Boris was quoted by TDR that he stated "more growth coming out of Europe & Germany in the next 3 to 5 years than USA".

The problem with CURA international operations is, it's not up and running to capacity. Most likely getting their cannabis from an LP.  Ed Kremer: Yes. And just to add on to what Boris said, Aaron, I think we've spent quite a bit of resources investing in our CapEx infrastructure internationally, that's still coming to fruition, those grow rooms that we own in that facility are ...more

The best company positioned in Germany from North America is Tilray Brands. Tilray commands over 20 percent medical cannabis market in the country itself through Tilray pharma. It also has a certfied GMP facility in Germany employing Germans. It's not even a debate and yes Cura probably buys some of its cannabis from LP's.

Yes I agree here Tilray Brands far better shape. Curaleaf did report higher revenue but a larger cashburn. It's spending far more to generate revenue but it's cost of operations has gotten higher and it's cashburn larger even though it serves a far higher population then Tilray Brands (for now). Very small volume ya it popped a little, I'm looking for it to pop a little more but ...more
