Biden already has things moving to decriminalize cannabis and move it to a schedule III substance.  This will loosen the restrictions on the sector.

Trump (if he should win) would simply need to allow the progress to continue.

Legal Cannabis results in jobs, less strain on law enforcement / judicial system and most importantly to the US economy - more tax revenue.

The US Fed need to raine in spending and get additional tax revenue to address debt load.

Cannabis checks both of those boxes

If rescheduling goes through the new administration would have to restart the entire review process to change it back to schedule 1.  Would take years.   It wouldn't even be a priority to do this imo
