little grouchy when Amber pressed him on the Medmen situation in the BNN interview.
Simple conceded that Tilray would get no assets - but that they might be able to some 'traction' using the name 'Medmen' as it is a recognized name in the cannabis sector.

Yes, the name is certainly recognized. A billion dollar valuation that declared bankruptcy and hundreds of millions in unpaid debt.

If you want to use a name associated with 'loser' - then I guess Medmen is a good choice - and the best part? Simple Simon only had to spend $225 million of investors money - and dilute their value - to possibly have the chance to use the name Medmen.

So is that official. Tilray owns the rights to the Medmen name? Nice name and they had nice red bags.

They haven't announced anything yet relating to US and probably won't/cant until S3 is announced  But yes they own the Medmen IP and probably product formulations, licenses etc through their partners  Tilrays minority partner in Superhero is operating or licensing around 10 Medmen stores right now  Im expecting a relaunch of Medmen under the Tilray banner once everything ...more
