obvious you have no clue whatsoever about the US market - and the fact that there are states that have had legalzied cannabis and that have MSOs operating for YEARS before Canada.
Battle hardened Canadian LPs - what a nonsensical thing to say. Do you think the MSOs havent gone thru the exact issues that Canada is? Black market, competition, too many producers, governemnt taxes? It's a foolish uniformed thing to post.
You have no clue whatsoever about US pricing - there isn't one general pricing, can you provide examples from various states on various products comparing Canada and the US? Of course you can't - it's a foolish uninformed thing to post.
Ineffciencies? Do some research of the MSOs that have recently reported. Unlike Tilray who report redcued cannabis sales and redcued Gross Margins and Gross Profit - the MSO are reporting improvements - AND positive cash flow.
What is your point of psoting uninformed and false information on US cannabis - it's obvious you havent a clue on the US market.
To suggest 'once legalziation kicks in' wil alow Canadian operatots to 'jump in' and take markets share away from MSOs that have been operating for years is nonsensical. There is NO guarantee the US will even allow Canada to import into the country.
Posting false, uninformed and downright nonsensical information about subjects you have no idead about is bizarre. What do you hope to accomplish? A paid promoter goal is to promote teh company he is paid by - you do a dis-servcie to you feloow SH members

RE:RE:Hello LaThong
Prices offered to consumers in the US are substantially higher than those in Canada for the same product while the margin numbers are similar. This indicates to me that there are inefficiencies within the business operations of US MSOs.
While there is competition in the US it is not high enough at the moment to motivate lower prices therefore inefficiencies are allowed to continue.
Once legalization kicks in there will be an influx of new cannabis companies starting up, expansion of existing companies and Canadian operators establishing substantially larger sales channels within the US.
These changes will invoke price compression and lower consumer pricing however the margin compression will test the skills of US MSOs. Their management teams will likely not respond fast enough nor properly to manage both expansion and operational efficiencies at the same time.
What I am noting here is not something that will play out over weeks or months but rather in years however it is another reason why I prefer Canadian operators as they are battle hardened.
I'll pick a beaten up fighter that has survived years of battles over a player who has never had as much as a blooded nose before.
