Goodwill isn’t “imaginary money”
Its value placed on brand power, customer base things not physical but it's not imaginary. TLRY isn't the only company that carries goodwill every company especially those in mega growth phase carry a lot. Regardless my point is, it isn't imaginary it's just risky if mismanaged and the value of the brands aquired are squandered without any real physical asset to sell. Regardless TLRY prices quarter after quarter we buy the companies mismanaged and build the value back in them. TLRY has more then proven the diversification strategy is working and that's why shorts out in full force

You are decribing "Intangibles" not Goodwill. Goodwill is the difference between what was paid to acquire a company and what is currently worth. You imagine it might eventually be worth more than it was acquired for, so you keep the tally on the books until the accountants say "You know, this company we bought is actually worthless".
