Long are under no obligation not contract to sell, they can ride out whatever dips and trends on a stock that they care to.
Shorts are literally under contract to buy.
A Long failing to take a profit is fine, they can wait for higher prices to aim for higher returns, that's their option.
A Short failing to cover and take a profit can be totally different.
Hey, your secret is safe with me. I'm sure many haven't bothered to research how a Short differs from a long and why you see constant haters on a stock forum
