Morguard not buying any time soon!

Let's face it, the economic climate is not too great in Canada, especially in oil-related areas, so why would Morguard buy this company? I would suggest, when the debentures start nearing maturity, starting with the first batch in December 2016, and there is no sinking fund to repay them, and the sp is so low it would be a death-bell to issue stock, similar to a rights offering, a last ditch attempt to retain solvency, then Morguard will make its bid, but it won't be at face value, debenture holders will be lucky to get $0.50 on the dollar, common shareholders, zilch. Get out now!!!

Sorry, I should add, I was long on this stock, have no debentures left, only common shares that are out of the money. I'm hopeful Morguard does buy sooner rather than later, it's my only chance to get out.

Oil is trading sideways at $30+ a barrel if oil hit $40+ a barrel this summer could be a huge turn around for this company, and at the end of this  year 2016  if we get $50+ oil pice even better for this company. All is not lost just a matter of patience and time.

IMHO, Temple can't last this long. I am afraid in Q2 you will see holders of the "C" debentures begin to sell, happy with close to $100, then the ...more

"Morguard will buy, but not until the debt has been reduced, and/or they will cherry-pick assets and it will become an informal bankruptcy." Doesn't Morguard already have about 30% of the shares?  If they allow bankruptcy, then those are a complete loss if the debtholders get everything.

....well ok, bankruptcy may be too harsh a word, really a forced liquidation at the control of creditors, not debenture holders, they will be asked to extend the maturity date, not really much choice, then Morguard, who will have been managing the inventory of rooms, will cherry pick and\or take over the company, but definitely, just IMHO, not at face value. I think Morguard has approximately a 40 ...more

I think that Morguard is on the board of TPH and has a duty to its shareholders so they could not take the approach you outline. All imho.

Somebody is buying shares on the cheap, these hotels are not empty they are still making profit with  $30+ oil after expense is all paid out,all our monthly divi and quartly divi was suspended to save the company,as i write this post over 101.7k has been traded, and a big bid is at 68 cents a share, there is a buy rating on Temple.
