I wonder if there has been any discussion between Trioil and Petrobakken regarding a take-over. These 'new guys' may have better insight in this respect. I was disappointed that Trioil did not make a news release after Petrobakken disclosed its share position.

Count me as still confused as to the lack of apparent excitement with all the news lately. Little TOL has some big sharks nibbling away and I would think at the end of the day we shareholders will benefit handsomely.

Its great news that Andylan has came into the picture. Its taking some of the handcuffs off and possibily making a deal happen. Petrobakkens position was defensive for them but doesnt do much in the near term for current shareholders. Hopefully this makes Petrobakken and trioil s#*t or get off the pot.  B

or they will bring in a bigger company like Encana to buy them out and increase their oil weighting, and PBN will make money on their investment. the question is what is the takeover price? it has to be in the 4-5 range, but that's a big range.  I would prefer 5 but I don't think they will offer that, maybe start at 4.35-4.50 with an all cahs offer. either way, TOL is a hold until we ...more

I like the sounds of the 4-5 range. Worried it could end up being a 1.75-2 TOL to 1 PBN share buyout.  I dont see Encana wanting this company. Encana should look at Penn West. They gain oil exposer along with huge shale gas in the Muskawa shale in NE BC. Divest some assets and make a killing on there others. Penn West wastes so much money on there drilling programs and if they ran there ...more
