Q for the sqaud. Do shorts put in bids to cover or do they have to buy at market?

Yes shorts can put in stop limit buy orders to cover their short.....otherwise they would have to be glued to their computer every minute of every market day......if they went out to get groceries for an hour and the stock came out with phenomenal news like a billion dollar contract....the short could get wiped out and even end up paying more than their original investment....... thats one ...more
