Bandar SeriBegawan - The Brunei delegation headed by the Assistant ChiefExecutive of Authority for Info-communications Technology (AITI), Mr WallaceKoh, attended the Canada ICT Marketplace & Networking Reception at therecent CommunicAsia 2010 in Singapore.
Accordingto the High Commision of Canada press release, this is the second year thatCanada andBrunei have worked togetherin assisting for business matching for the new iCentre incubates, as well as toshare knowledge with the representatives from Industry Canada.
As part oflast year's matching, two Canadian companies - Enablence from Ottawa and Tranzeo based in BritishColumbia, were shortlisted to bid for projects under DST and TelBruand also government agencies in Brunei. At CornmunicAsia 2010,Canada focussed on connecting andmatching the right companies together without having to go through a thirdparty.
As anongoing project, representatives from the Government of Canada will be inBrunei to promote Canadian companiesand also to look into business opportunities. Meetings and visits have been setup with Brunei's regulatory body B-Mobile andlocal communication companies.
