Uber is still waiting to get clearance to begin operating in Kelowna, but its cousin is ready to start filling stomachs in the Thompson Okanagan.
Uber Eats Canada announced Tuesday morning that it is now operating in Kelowna and Kamloops.
“These days, supporting your favourite restaurants isn’t always easy,” Uber Eats Canada general manager Lola Kassim said in a press release. “We are excited to offer Uber Eats in six new markets in B.C. to help provide additional support for the struggling industry.”
Restaurants can choose between options like 0% pick-up, 7.5% for online ordering and 15% for restaurants that use their own delivery staff in addition to a full-service option.
Kelowna restaurants that have partnered with Uber Eats include The Curious Artistry & Alchemy Caf, Pizza Studio, McDonald’s, Cora Breakfast and Lunch and more
