RE:RE:stop the speculation
fbedard:
I am not concerned about these short term fluctuations in the share price. I have stated in the past that a lower price simply gives those, whose intentions are to buy, more leverage to make a lot of money. We should all take advantage of any lower price to make a better purchase.
From my perspective, I am keenly interested in the prospect of a decent dividend, paid to me, for the shares that I own. Hinse said that, it is coming! (2021)
If it does, and the company continues to make a substantial profit as the commercial production at SG commences later this Summer or Fall (subject to the current delay from the present hoist breakdown at Elder), the initial dividend, could conceivably increase, with further SG development.
The more shares that we hold, the better the total return we will get from any dividend paid. This is a real incentive to buy more shares especially now with the price, as cheap, as it is at present.
Aside from the recurrent breakdown issues, the main uncertainty we face as investors, is how well the mining at the Sleeping Giant will actually play out. That unknown is the risk that present share purchasers have been willing to take.
We who purchase now may reap the greatest reward.
For those who, over the course of time, may have accumulated hundreds of thousands or millions of shares, sit on your laurels and wait for your dividends. They may just pay you back for your initial investment if you continue to hold for much of the life of the mine.
Some will be satisfied to reap some significant capital gain. Certainly a dividend policy, if maintained, can certainly attract many wealthier investors interested in a stable source of income.
However, the cash flow from a mine is not as predictable as the money generated by a pipeline transporting oil or natural gas. So one may argue that the share price will always be trading at a discount to other more stable sources of income. Nevertheless where else can we obtain shares that may soon pay a dividend and that trades today for only 14.5 cents?
A forum like this is the best place to ask questions. It is always possible that someone may have some of the right answers. Speculation provoked a suitable response. It has purpose.
rpm provided some insight that confirmed most of management has stated. A piece of the hoist apparatus has been sent out to be repaired and it is expected to arrive within a reasonable time. Once received, the hoist can be easily repaired in a matter of hours.
Perhaps a piece was sent out to a machine shop. Or perhaps a motor needs some rewinding? The later seems unlikely. That's more than a piece. To investors, it doesn't really matter as long as the repair is made in a timely fashion.
rpm seems to have some good connections with management. I asked Dany for information and he just left me dangling. He gave me the impression that he didn't have a clue.
Anyway, rpm thanks for the information.
It provides the heads up that many may need. In spite of some negative comments I have heard about the low grades at Elder, for now it is the only mine that keeps the company solvent. It is the only known source of cash flow that still pays the bills!
I am glad to hear that more ore is now being mined at the Sleeping Giant. It's sounds like the future for Abcourt now shows, much greater promise!
Again, thanks rpm for the information. Continue to keep us well informed! We trust you will!
All the best! Java

Simply put, the best way to stop the speculation is for management to make a factual statement regarding the lift, activity at Elder and activity at SG. But what is in it for management, not much. There has been a welcome trend in openness over the past six months, let it continue.
