A mountain worth climbing

Fernand wrote, translating from French, "I no longer see any reason to try to promote Abcourt's shares to future shareholders outside of Quebec. It seems to be a mountain that is impassable."

This is literally a new level of blindness I didn't think possible. Imagine wanting to shrink your potential investor market from the Anglosphere down to the Francosphere. In an era in which there has never been so much money floating around and landing on all kinds of arcane assets, in a world in which the global business language is English, a major shareholder of Abcourt Mines suggests shrinking its potential market!

The core Anglosphere population is over 460 million people, and this core does not include all the residual world population that speak high quality English as a second language for business purposes. Because the core Anglosphere is also entirely comprised of First World countries, the level of disposable income for investment is high compared to the rest of the world. The Francosphere is a fraction of the size of the Anglosphere. With much of the population from Africa with little to no disposable income for investment.

You would have to have completely lost the plot to think that is a good idea  to ditch promotion to the Anglosphere because you don't like them and their pesky analytical minds. Any sensible person wishing to divest themselves of a 10 bagger would conversely wish to increase promotion to the Anglosphere and to wish to please those kind of investors by improving the company vital statistics and performance in order to acquire the kind of investment that will deliver the 10 bagger in the first place.

Imagine selling your shares at a high of 3 or 4 cents if you cut the Anglosphere investment community out of your thinking.

Fernand has already made it clear that he spoke for himself. It is his personal decision, not a decision made by Abcourt. So why repeat this discussion over and over....?

TWhy repeat this disucssion over and over? I have not previously commented on it, so I am not repeating anything. Further to that, it is worth pointing out how important an investor market as large as the Anglosphere actually is if you want to sell that 10 bagger stock that we would alll love Abcourt Mines to be. I make clear that if you wish to get that stock to 10 bagger levels you do not choose ...more
