This tech would give any large solar manufacturer or tech company an absolute monopoly or COMPLETE competitive advantage in the market. Imagine if your a solar manufacturer and all of a sudden you can reduce costs and boost your quality while reserving that tech for yourself? 

I'm surprised we haven't seen something in the 75c range yet.

It is still unclear how they differentiate themselves from the competition. What's the moat on ACU Insight that prevent entry from the competitors?  Also, revenues need to show up at some point. Everyone on the venture always say there is no competition but there always is.  :) Anyways, let's see how the trial goes... And how sales eventually roll out...

One look at their customer base (all of the top solar manufacturers) and the patents surrounding their technology should answer that one pretty quick. I don't have time to go into the product specifics with you.
