(PV-Tech News) In January 2023, major photovoltaic companies such as Tongwei Solar, JinkoSolar, Longi Green Energy, Trina Solar, and Yidao New Energy have made frequent new moves.
 
There are constant news about the start of manufacturing projects in the industrial chain, capacity expansion, important signings, and product production and offline. Let’s take a look at the specific news of each company.
 
01 Start of photovoltaic manufacturing project
 
Tongwei Yancheng base 25GW photovoltaic module project
 
On January 1, 2023, the 25GW photovoltaic module project of Tongwei Solar (Yancheng) Co., Ltd. officially started. The Yancheng base production line mainly produces 182, 210 large-size version high-efficiency module products using Tongwei TNC/TPC and other technical routes to maximize power generation efficiency and reduce the cost of electricity.
 
Tongwei Co., Ltd.'s high-efficiency photovoltaic module manufacturing base project was signed and settled in Yancheng on September 29, 2022. The project adopts the "technology + industry" integrated construction model, giving full play to Tongwei's excellent experience in building photovoltaic smart green parks and star workshops. On the basis of the "5G+" digital management model, it will be further upgraded to build a green, minimalist, stable and reliable production network of high-quality module products.
 
 
JinkoSolar Haining 6GW high-efficiency battery and 6GW high-efficiency battery module
 
On January 4th, Yuanhua Town, Haining held a centralized groundbreaking ceremony, including 12 projects including Jinko Intelligent Production Line, with a total investment of 6.018 billion yuan.
 
JinkoSolar's 6GW high-efficiency battery and 6GW high-efficiency battery module intelligent production line started construction in Yuanhua Town, Haining.

A new model of intelligent manufacturing in digital workshops, establishes a complete set of digital enterprise production platforms from R&D to production to products, builds Jinko’s entire industry chain smart photovoltaic industry 4.0 system
, and forms an annual production capacity of 6GW high-efficiency batteries and 6GW high-efficiency modules. After completion The estimated annual output value is 17 billion yuan.

 
Gaoce Co., Ltd. 10GW monocrystalline silicon wafer phase II project
 
On January 10, the investment in Gaoce 10GW monocrystalline silicon wafer (phase II) project in Jianhu is another important layout of Gaoce in the field of photovoltaic large silicon wafer cutting. The project covers an area of 118 mu, with 55,000 square meters of newly built workshops and supporting facilities. At present, the project has entered the concrete implementation stage, and the civil works have started.
 
It is estimated that after the project is fully put into production, it will be able to achieve an annual production capacity of 10GW photovoltaic large silicon wafers, an annual billing sales revenue of 4 billion yuan, and a tax revenue of over 100 million yuan.
 

5GW High Efficiency Heterojunction Cell and Module Project (Phase I) 2GW Project of 35 Interconnection
 
On January 11, Xiamen 35 Interconnection Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "35 Interconnection"), a listed company on the GEM, held a 5GW high-efficiency heterojunction cell and module intelligent manufacturing project in Danling County Economic Development Zone, Meishan City, Sichuan Province ( Phase I) Construction Commencement Ceremony. This is 35Internet's first photovoltaic new energy project.
 
It is understood that the high-efficiency solar photovoltaic heterojunction cell (HJT structure) 5G smart factory project has a planned total investment of 2.5 billion yuan and covers an area of 204 mu. The first phase of the project company's 2GW production line construction investment is 1 billion yuan, which is expected to be completed and officially put into operation before December 2023. The construction of the 5GW production line is expected to be completed and officially put into operation before December 2024.
 
According to the financial pre-evaluation results, after the project is fully completed and put into operation, the average annual sales revenue of the high-efficiency crystalline silicon HJT solar cell products produced will be about 6.19 billion yuan, and the average annual after-tax profit will be about 537 million yuan.

 
 
03 Putting into production and offline
 
Mingyang's 5GWHJT battery and 2GWHJT modules were put into production
 
On January 10, 2023, Mingyang's 5GW high-efficiency heterojunction photovoltaic cell phase I project and 2GW high-efficiency heterojunction module project went offline and went into production, becoming the first new energy technology in China to form the largest-scale production of high-efficiency heterojunction photovoltaic full capacity company.
 
Mingyang's 5GW heterojunction photovoltaic cell project and 2GW high-efficiency heterojunction module project are located in Yancheng, Jiangsu and Shaoguan, Guangdong, respectively. Mingyang's intelligent production equipment is produced by domestic first-class manufacturers, realizing the localization of the entire line of equipment, and completely covering the four processes of heterojunction battery production. Through large-sheet, thin-sheet, and half-sheet processes, combined with innovative i-in-p PECVD process routes, and integrated MES intelligent systems for the entire line, the conversion efficiency, yield, and production capacity of solar cells have been further improved, while production costs have been reduced.
 
Huamin's 10GW high-efficiency N-type monocrystalline silicon ingot and wafer project (Phase I) put into operation
 
On January 12, the ignition and commissioning ceremony of the "10GW annual high-efficiency N-type monocrystalline silicon ingot and wafer project (Phase I)" of Hongxin New Energy, a subsidiary of Hunan Huamin Holding Group, was successfully held in Xiangyun County, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province.
 
The total planned land area of the project is about 579 mu. After the first phase of the project is put into production, it will form an effective production capacity of 3.5GW high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon wafers. It has a production capacity of 210 large-size silicon wafers and is compatible with various sizes of silicon wafers below 210, which can meet the requirements of HJT, Topcon , IBC and other high-end solar cells.
 
Hongxin New Energy was jointly established by Hunan Jianhongda Industrial Group and Hunan Lixin Silicon Material Technology Co., Ltd. It is mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon wafers. In August 2022, Huamin successfully acquired 80% equity of Hongxin New Energy, formally transformed into the new energy track, and entered the field of photovoltaic silicon wafers.
 
Trial production of N-type modules in Yidao Xinneng Guizhou
 
On January 15, 2023, Yidao Xinneng's largest photovoltaic module production base in Guizhou produced trial production.

 
JinkoSolar's 24GW module project put into operation
 
On January 16, the first phase of JinkoSolar's 24GW photovoltaic module project in Guangxin District, Shangrao, Jiangxi was put into operation.
 
It is reported that the project was signed and settled in Guangxin District on March 29, 2022. The total investment is about 10.8 billion yuan, and it will be constructed in three phases. Among them, the first phase will build 8GW high-efficiency photovoltaic modules; 8GW high-efficiency photovoltaic modules and 100,000 tons of aluminum profiles for photovoltaic modules. The total land scale of phases one, two, and three requires about 1,700 mu of contiguous industrial land. The second phase of the project is expected to be constructed in the fourth quarter of 2023, and the third phase is expected to be constructed in the third quarter of 2025.
