Afri-Can Completes Sampling Program on EPL 3403 in Namibia

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, Apr 20, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

Afri-CanMarine Minerals Corporation ("Afri-Can") (TSX VENTURE: AFA) announcesits initial diamond sampling program on the EPL 3403 Marine DiamondConcession in Namibia is complete, and the sampling vessel is back inthe port of Luderitz. The sampling program begins the delineation ofdiamond potential of the Southern portion of EPL 3403, and investigationof diamond presence and areas of possible diamond concentration in theNorthern region.

The program has successfully extracted 350samples of 5 square metres each. Results of the program will bedisclosed once the diamonds are weighed by officials from the Ministryof Mines and Energy of Namibia.

EPL 3403 covers approximately 800square kilometres and is adjacent to the north of the Atlantic OneMining Lease ("ML") 47 (owned by Namdeb Diamond Corporation (Pty)Limited, a 50:50 partnership between the Government of the Republic ofNamibia and De Beers Centenary AG), which is the largest marine diamonddeposit in the world (see map athttps://media3.marketwire.com/docs/afaa0420_map.pdf). ML 47 is currentlyproducing in excess of 1,100,000 carats per year.
